FAQs about Eastern Speech Therapy
Do you accept NJ DDD (Division of Developmental Disabilities) funding?
Yes, we accept New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) funding for speech therapy services. To set up services, parents or clients can speak with their support coordinator to include speech therapy in their Individualized Service Plan (ISP). The support coordinator will help with the necessary paperwork and ensure funding is allocated for speech therapy. Once approved, we can work with you to schedule sessions and begin providing services tailored to your needs. Feel free to contact us for any assistance during the process!
How does DDD funding differ from private pay?
Yes, we accept New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) funding for speech therapy services. DDD funding becomes available for individuals with developmental disabilities starting at age 21, providing state-based support for various services, including speech therapy. This funding differs from insurance or private pay, as it’s managed through an Individualized Service Plan (ISP) created with your support coordinator. The support coordinator allocates funds for approved services, which are covered directly by DDD without co-pays or deductibles. To set up speech therapy through DDD, speak with your support coordinator, and we’ll help you begin the process.
Do you accept insurance?
No, we do not accept insurance for services. Eastern Speech Therapy is considered an “Out of Network” provider. All services are paid out of pocket by the client or their caregiver. However, I do provide superbills that contain all the necessary information for clients to seek reimbursement from their insurance company, if applicable. This allows clients to file claims with their insurance provider and potentially receive reimbursement for the services received.
How do I know if my insurance reimburses for "out of network" speech therapy?
To determine if your insurance reimburses for “out of network” speech therapy, it’s best to contact your insurance provider directly. You can inquire about their policy regarding out-of-network coverage for speech therapy services and ask about any specific requirements or documentation needed for reimbursement. Additionally, you can review your insurance plan’s benefits or contact their customer service department for assistance in understanding your coverage options.
